Registration Question

Hello,

I was wondering does anyone know how long it will take to turn over registration into my name? Right now the car is registered under my brothers name (for cheaper insurance) but i need to place it in my name. I am the primary on the loan and he is a cosigner.

P.S: I am in NY

In CA, it takes about 15 minutes at DMV. Just bring in the pink slip and have your brother sign it over to you. They issue a new temporary registration on the spot. Don't know if they want some new taxes though.
