Regarding Deaths on this board.

Guys and gals I'm going to be honest here I hope everyone reads this.

I have been around here since the beginning, even back from the Honda-Acura days LOL. I think it is safe to say that if I found out anyone on this board who I've known died in an accident I would be no less than sick to my stomach. We have a family here, extended family if you wish. Hell, I feel like anywhere I go in the continental USA I'm able to hook up with someone from here and chill. Please be careful out there, especially in these festive yet hard times. Even my worst enemy in here I do not wish anything tragic to happen to him or her. Just drive safe and if you must, think of how much you would be missed on this board if you were dumb enough to wrap yourself around a pole.

Please everyone be careful and drive with common sense and YES, this is Ernest aka: Grand Poobah aka: Drive it like you stole it Forsyth.

Even I have chilled out in my car, seriously, I'm saving it for the track too much shit going on right now and I'm too smart to drive soo stupid anymore. Yeah, the occasional downshift on a clear day or open road but I'm not racing anymore unless it's on an autocross field or 1/4 mile.

Ern.

Ok; Atten. Administrators: Satin01CL, soopa, WebToker Can you please start a "Totaled and DEATHs Gallery" for posting pictures of these cars after playing tag. We need some kind of reality check on this street racing. Picture's generally speak more than anybody can print. Thanks

Yea... I'm with Ern. Take it easy... I been trying to.

I'm betting on my wheels/system to slow me down. LOL

As for the deaths forum... i think that might be just a lil bit too morbid. heh

Especially since the holidays are coming up. Everybody should just take it easy on the roads, and dont get unneccesary road rage. Think smart and drive smart. Your smart decisions save lives too.

Well said Ernie.... plus, with that damn stereo in your trunk you probably can't go over 60mph with that added weight!!

Seriously though.. it's true, we are a family here, so if anyone was hurt or killed, I think it would bother hundreds or members. There's no need for a "death forum", just be smart and use your heads (plus, having such a forum, as well as a Racing forum would be counter-productive, you can just keep it all in there).....

What happens if you drive very carefuly, and some truck runs red light and kills you?
Everytime you are behind the wheel, you have a chance to die.
This sux. Racing will improve your chances to die.

Anyone can die at anytime on the road. You never know if someone will hit you, or your car will spontaneously combust like BMWs or whatever. Drive how you what but try to be safe. No one can tell what to do but take into consideration what you have to lose and the people you will hurt. If you decide to do something dumb, make sure your by yourself and won't physically hurt anyone else. Take care out there!!!!!

I've got Ritalin... only problem is it blurs your vision. So does Adderol I think.

You really don't need good vision when you drive a possible killing machine.

I think when people get to scared, and driver VERY carefully, it acctully bad as well. Other drivers start cutting you off, and u are more likely to get in accident.... u got to chose golden middle between being very careful and being an average driver.

Intresting paradox that I've observed:
Whenever I have 1-2 shots of vodka, my driving is more safe compared when I drive angree to/from work under heavy influence of coffine

Doug on Stangnet was involved in a pretty serious accident as well. I lutk on there from time to time and I don't think he's doing all that well. Apparently is was quite serious. So we're not the only ones having this sort of thing happen. There is no organized Fbody board so I can't tell if the Cambirds had anybody hurt recently. Just go with the flow of traffic. If traffic is cruising at 75, go 75... The Mercedes board is still too small to know. I don't think tyhey will ever get too many members. How many members did the tl/cl board have when it first started up? After a month?

I'm just wanting pictures of the cars after wrecks, not a body count. Everyone can use there own judgement who lived. Pictures of the cars WILL work.

www.camaroz28.com's forum used to be pretty popular for all f-body enthusiasts. Dunno if it still is.

Take it easy guys. I drive like a maniac sometimes but definitely not in rain or snow. Although I've decided to slow it down even in nice dry conditions.

Thanks Ernie, I think we all need a reminder every once in awhile to keep us remembering.

In any case, if you don't make it, and you do end up tragically killed, I'll guess we'll just see you on the other side a little bit later. I know it sucks but let's talk about reality: How many of you drink alcohol and then drive?

There's death staring at you right in the face!

Since I don't drink, I never could understand this....
