Recommended OBD Reader?

I want to purchase a OBD reader so I don't have to pay the dealer $80 every time a light comes on.

Does anyone have any experience with these devices and recommend one?

Or should I just buy a $30 off eBay?

well, i was just asking because the Autozones around here allow you to leave your driver's license in order to borrow the scanner. it's a cheapie, but should take you out of a tight spot and save you those $80 a trip.

unless you really want to buy one.

I have some programs that will calculate your 1/8,1/4, 0-60, 0-100 and HP/TQ with just an obdII adapter as well as read and clear codes and read sensors and the rest of all the crap that the computer puts out. haven't tried yet but very soon I will

I use this one:
http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...rtnumber=3100C

but there are cheaper models that would work just as well for reading and erasing codes...
