Recharge K&N filter or buy a new one?

I have not cleaned my CAI filter for almost 25k now, and it is time to
do so. Should i buy the recharge kit for $20 or a new filter which i
believe is $40?

Recharge kit. K&N kit cost $10, took an hour or so with drying. Used about 1/2 the fluid in the recharge kit...

Recharge it. That's what it's for. Also rememebr to use plenty of the oil. The kit should only have enough for about 2 maybe 3 cleanings/oilings.

A spare K&N is great if you need to clean and run.

The kit does a fine job and the filter can get pretty dirty depending on area, season, and road conditions.

You might want to check the prices on those filters again. I know my AEM filter cost around $60.

I didn't pay that much ... I don't think I'd be buying a spare at that price -- at least not for "clean and run" use.

Irony is: on a hot, dry, So Cal day, the filter is dry in about an hour...

Ok, so the K&N filter is a little cheaper than the AEM filter at around $50.
