Rear emblems

Hi all, I am thinking of putting back my 'ACURA' and '3.2CL TypeS' emblems back on. Since I still have the emblems, is it possible to re use them by using some kind of double sided sticker and cut them out perfectly? or would I have to re buy the emblems which costs about $90 according to the delray website.

any help to putting this back on and saving money would be awesome, thanks!

Autozone has some killer double side tape. Its made for sticking ground FX and the like to car bodies. Just follow the directions on cleaning the area you are applying it to.

Yea, just use 3M double sided tape. Do NOT use glue/adhesive!

The only issue I see if the 3M tape is pretty thick compared to the OEM stuff. But try it out, if you dont like it, just use a heat gun to pull them off again.

Amazon Amazon

I used it to stick the A back after a respray. It's quite thin.

It's not wide enough for a single pass so I had to put tape on the top half and bottom half of the emblem. But the tape is pretty thin. I used an exact-o knife to trim off the extra, take your time with this part, you dont want tape to be sticking out under the emblem and it's much easier to cut while off the car. Haven't fallen off since. It's very sturdy and I wash my car regularly and park with 100+ degree heat on black paint.

If you want, I can send you a couple strips enough for the 3.2CL emblem. I only used a little and it looks like I won't be using anymore in the near future.

Sent your tape out today. It was more then I thought so I used a small padded envelope instead. Please don't mess up, I sent you enough but probably not much for error lol
Just measure, cut then trim as needed.

You may do this already...

I had my 3.2CL emblem pop off a few months ago while washing my car... I felt like I might as well be driving around with a different color door LOL. But, this one guy in the service department at the Acura dealership here, stuck it back on and checked the others for any adhesion loss for free.
That was really nice, BUT there still is silicone glue smeared around them all that won't come off! Even though they are stuck on with 10 tons of silicone, I always check the rear my car if I go through a car wash to make sure they're all there!

Hopefully the tape works well for you! And always check the rear to be certain that one didn't pop off...
