Rear Bumper Question
Rear Bumper Question
I just noticed that when I shut the trunk or the passenger's side door that the bottom of the bumper cover (completes the outside of passenger's-side-rear wheel well) wiggles a bit (for lack of a better term). Holding that piece, it seems like whatever is under that small back disc (faces the tire--don't know if that is a screw or a screw cover) is loose--it has wiggle room but is attached. The same area on the driver's side is firm and that area does not visibly shake when closing the trunk or the driver's door. There is no other sign of damage.
Any idea what may be happening here? What parts do I need to replace? (screw and the bracket it screws into (just guessing)? Should the dealer do it?
Thanks for your help!

you have an air duct on either side of the car toward the rear under the bumper. They allowed pressure to escape when you shut your doors or trunk. That's causing your bumper to move...however, something may be loose causing it to move more than normal. There is one screw at the bottom of the wheel well bumper mounting point. Above that is a clip...above that at the corner is another screw...I'd just check the screws. Good luck

Thanks. I checked that and compared that side with the drivers side. The drivers side feels solid--doesn't wiggle or sound like anything is loose. The passengers side definitely feels like something is loose in there where that screw fastens to the car.
I just don't want the thing flying off on the highway.....
