Some moron hit my car in a Walgreens parking lot on Sat. The bumper is scratched and dented (or as dented as plastic can be). Does the rear bumper get replaced as a single unit? Cost? Other suggestions?

I seems a lot of people here end up replacing the whole bumper, because it just never looks the same if the damage is extensive enough.. Try a search on it for the individual situations and cost.

 

I have had two rear bumpers on my 01. They replace the cover as long as there is no other damage. The rear bumper cover lists for about 231.00. Of course there is the paint and labor bringing the total to somewhere around 500-575 depending on shop and your location.

The insurance adjuster will go over it. My damage was 501 and I did not get the guy so I had to pay 500 big ones. The adjuster asked me if I wanted to have a check cut for a 1.00. I laughed and said I drank your coffee and ate a donut so I guess we're even.

 

Actually, there were police in the lot dealing with someother bonehead so I did get the woman's information. She wants to deal with it without her insurance. We'll see how she feels once she gets the estimate. Oh well, at worse I can sue her... : )
