I never even considered CT mufflers until I got an oppurtunity to buy them used. I would never pay retail for them but would pay the 350 I payed for them used again if I could do it over. well worth the 350, but not 600.

$600 would buy alot of lap dances

Plus they look nice, but imo dont sound that great. I'm not a fan of exhaust's on OHC V6's though, they tend to sound high pitched and raspy.

v6 that sounds better than a cl-s + cai + exhaust are few and far between. i've had people comment that it sounds like an f1 car.

It took me a while to get myself to buy the CT's, but i don't regret it, they sound and look good as hell. i paid $450 for a remus exhaust a few years ago for my GTI and that was just for one, so when you consider you are getting 2 mufflers, its not all that bad, not good either but what can you do. Besides, i thought about all the little things i spend money on over a few months time without thinking about it, and it doesn't take long to spend 6 bills going out to bars and buying stuff at best buy and other places. At least you will have them for a long time. By the way, where did you get the headers? any good?

I purchased 2 magnaflows mufflers, one 22 inch resonator, 1 high flow Y pipe and had a muffler shop make me a custom 2.25 inch cat back for 450 all together. If you dont need all the tuff i have you can have a magnaflow exhaust that will run circles around what comptechs sound like and it will cost you about 175 installed. Plus they are stainless and the rolled tips i had looked much better than comptechs stock looking tips.

I got my HKS for ~400 shipped a while back - new. I know there is no real power gain, but I like the look, I like the tips, and the sound... nothing like flipping through the gears and hearing that exhaust sound...look around for a group buy or some used ones.

All the other models are too big for my taste. The Comptech’s both look and sound great IMO.

If you're worried about the price then hold off until you can find them used.

To me it all depends on what you want. Don't look to mufflers for huge gains. In terms of looks IMO I'd go with CT, because I don't like the larger exhausts look. To me simple is better. Speak quietly but carry a big stick to whoops ass with.

Are you referring to the Accord SP's, cuz to my knowledge they dont make them for our cars??? If I am wrong dont mind the correction cuz the sp does sound better than the evo2...

i saw a dyno for the greddy evo 2 exhaust for a cl-s and it gained 10.2 whp.....in japan trust( greddy) is one of the leading tunning putting out high quilty work and performace. so i would go with the greddy.... comptech well made but lets face it your paying for a name and that its covered by factory warrenty.

I highly doubt that. Show me the dyno. Unless the car was BLOWN\Juiced, there is no way an exhaust is gaining 10 WHEEL horsepower on a naturally aspirated CL.

thats weird, I had the same comment. "dude that sounds like a friggin f1 race car"

I dont know why everyone says this. never once have I had someone mistake my exhaust for stock. Infact, everyone usually knows exactly what brand it is. The stock is oval, comptech is a 3.5in round rolled tip, I dont know how someone could mistake it unless they can't tell the difference between a circle and an oval?

Heard them in person on a TL. Also have a clip, was not impressed.

to both

To each their own, but I'd take my comptechs over anything, any day.

can you say uni-chip? at least they will look and sound good!
I'm still undecided if it was worth the 600 but dont regret the mufflers.

The CT tips are not small at all, its just the damn big oval cut out in the bumper that makes them look slightly stock. if that cutout was smaller, the tips would look much more aggressive. but close up, you can tell they are definitely not stock. The greddys are cool, but just a little on the big side. Don't want it to look like a ghetto cruiser.

i've had CT and EVO's.

the comptechs are very nice but i would never go back. EVO2 is the best exhaust you can buy for a cl-s.

it would be difficult for me to spend $600 on mufflers. my car just happened to have a brand new set of CT's on it when i bought it. i paid $400 for my EVO slightly used. my advice ~ wait until you can find a clean set for sale in black mkt.

IMHO... the CT exhaust is worth it... three reasons... quality, quality and quality... They do make a couple of WHP and sound nice.

I don't like the shape of the Evo2's they look funny. I think the comptechs are to oval shaped. I like the shape of the Draggers and SP2. I just wish the tip on the SP wasn't so f'ing big But it's definately the BEST sounding exhaust i've heard on a honda.

wish they'd make a 3" tip for it

I guess so, but what's the difference. I didn't realize they didn't make a CL specific one

if u really want comptechs...wait for the buyers market!!! Also...anyone got any comparison pics and sound clips between the evo's and the sp's. I've been thinking of going w/ another brand of exhasut and not too positive on which one. And if I do make the change.....Darrin can have first dibs on my Comptechs

I have stock exhaust, but I've had a number of people tell me my car sounds real mean.

If I ever spend the dough on exhaust (a finishing touch on our cars, imo), I'm going with the Greddy Evo.
