This really hurt my feeling.
I was just looking in ebay and someone had a 01 CL type s, clean title at $13900 "buy it now price". Damn that really hurt my feeling to see my car is only worth peanuts :'( , that guy who traded it in probably got $11k for it. Humm... maybe it is the color
, maybe it is the 81k miles
. Either way I think I just have to keep it till it rot.

He could probably get more than that.
Some people don't care as long as it sells.

If it sounds too good to be true...it usually is. Someone run a carfax & find out.

It's definitely a Type-S. Sundance Gold only came with the S, along with VSA, perforated seats, shift knob, 17" wheels. It does sound too good to be true though.

I just traded my 01 Type S-Navi, in flawless condition, with 74,000 miles, Comtech sways, SO3. All they gave me was 13K ! But I got a sweet deal on a 04 RL !

Yah, the resale value on the CL has gone to the toilet ! That is why on my way home I thought long and hard to part with my pride and joy, but suddenly realized it was NOT a keeper and the transmission was going to fail again, then what would it be worth then ? ? ? ? ? The TRANSMISSION on this car KILLED it's reputation !

I expected that. I don't have time to deal with selling it outright for a grand or two more. Not worth my time.

BTW: My CL was paid for long ago, so I took the $13,000.00 and ran with it .........!!!!!!

Its the huge deal that everyone made about the transmission issue on our cars that has killed our resale value. I said the same thing on the TL boards long ago, and I'll say it again.......
And we bought Acura's for their great resale values.................

that's not it because the TL has held it's value a lot better then most cars. It's just a real bad sellers market right now and the CL was never a great seller to begin w/. Hell the first gens have suffered the same fate.

And $12,900 at auction is about right...considering about a $5K dealer mark-up. I see them going for that at Manheim in PA...dealers still sell them at $20K+.

How does the CL's resale value compare to that of a V6 Accord coupe's from the same year and with approximately the same mileage? They're probably about the same right?

It wouldn't surprise me if the Accord has a better value all in all......

it's equal if not higher. What's real funny is you can get a 95 legend for about 14K
