Realistic sales price
Hi.
I have a Satin Silver 2001 CL Type S with Navi that has not been raced and is not modified. It has 107,xxx miles and has recently had the 105K service, plus lots of other services done. I love the car, however........
Sometime in the next few months, I'll be posting it for sale locally (I'll list it here as well). My wife and I just had a baby and while the CL isn't bad for getting the car seat in and out, a four door would be easier, so I'm going to be getting one.
I'm trying to work on my financial projections with regard to the car and I checked here, cars.com and autotrader.com and the prices vary widely. I'm hoping to get 12500-13000K for it. Am I on crack? Is there a realistic chance to sell it for that price?
Can you share your experiences with regard to recent pricing for a comparable car?
Thanks guys. BTW, this is not a thinly disguised ad for the car as I cannot sell it until such time as I purchase the next car, which I haven't done and won't be doing for a bit.

3 Dealers down here offered me between $11000-$13000 and that was pushing it, in the past week, and my car is spotless. New tires and they 60K inspection done.
I've an 01 CLS with 63K. with 107,xxx i honestly can't say i could see anyone around here buy the car, unless it was a unbelievable price. Reason > Tranny.
My bet you will be lucky to get over 10K for it. Yes i know, but thats how it is with this car, and i hate to say too......

I have a '01 with Nav and 99000 on it. If you are expecting $12 for it, you are woefully on crack. At least the crack lessens the blow...sorry.

Hey, there's a difference between hoping and expecting! ![Wink](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Anyway, 123456SPEED, you're right, the baby seat doesn't work too well in the NSX. At some point when she's in a forward facing seat, I can put her in the passenger seat as I don't have a passenger side airbag.
The good news is that I'm getting a very fast 4 door, so I'll still be able to have some fun driving!

In June I sold my 2001 CLS with 86K miles for $13K and considered myself lucky. Mine was lowered and had 18" wheels. I had it listed on Autotrader for over two months before finding a buyer. There are many used ones out on the market.
Dealer trade in and CarMax were offering $9K.
