Ready To Buy Pending Inspection

Ok guys, I am almost there with my choice of a 2001 CL-S, with 55k miles, black with tan interior. I decided to take into an Acura dealer to have it checked out prior to shelling out the bucks. A safety inspection will cost me $85 which I think it’s worth it. Other than the tranny issue are there any other specific issues that I must look for? So far I only noticed a clicking noise when pressing the accelerator pedal. I don’t know where it comes from but I hope the dealer will figure it out. Thanks for your input…

Brakes/rotors, headlight leaks, squeaks. See if they can tell you how many trannies it has had. Tranny would be my main focus.

The ticking noise is common in our cars. It is supposed to be an emissions control under the hood and there is also one behind the driver side door, which you'll notice in the winter if the car is idle. The summer time resolves these ticking noises, or they seem to go un-noticed.
