Could be that the bracket that holds the torsion bar is broken.....makes your trunk bars go haywire around corners and bumps.

not sure from your description, and im probably no help here, but do you think your jack got loose in the trunk and is rattling around when you hit bumps??

Im sure you know where the jack is but ill just note its on the right side when you are facing your open trunk. It is behind a plastic door. It screws itself in and could get loose, so maybe look there?

I have the same issue but mine is 2 different things. one is the bracket, but the other i have no idea. it seems to come from right below the break light, and i only hear it when the bass hits, and i have mine all the way down. it just rattles like crazy i first thought it was my speakers but it will do it on some bumps. idk but its not getting any better now im on some k sports, i dont know what or how to fix it

Yea bro, the gray bars under the rear deck......look to see if the center bracket has broken loose from the upper deck. Mine has been like that for around a year now, gonna try and use some JB Weld, or just use some small metal screws to secure it again.

Yeah, that bracket broke on me too. I just drilled some holes in it and bolted it back up. Also, there's some hard styrofoam blocks underneath the rear shelf that can rattle against the metal deck.

Yeah, it's usually the springs (torsion bars) in the trunk... the gray bars...

Or the jack isn't tight...

Anyone ever take out the torsion bars totally? I cant store hardly anything in my trunk due to my custom enclosure......plus the bars rub a lil on my rear deck speaker magnets, and if needed, I could always just get an after market hood/trunk prop. Thoughts??

FOUND IT! so it was the torsion bars... after further inspection i could see some of the grey paint being rubbed off where the 2 bars rubbed. i put some black electric tape in between the 2 and that fixed it right up
