Rattle in rear headliner: any ideas?
Hi all,
I have a persistent rattle in the rear headliner and would like some advice. I've isolated it to a white plastic piece that sits against the glass.
When I pull down on the metal lip that supports the white plastic piece, the rattle goes away, so I suspect the rattle is coming from the plastic moving against the glass.
I've tried to wedge some material in the gap between the metal and glass, but that hasn't helped. (It takes quite a bit of downward pressure to get the rattle to stop.)
Any advice? This thing is driving me crazy because I've managed to get rid of all the other rattles in the car: it's the final holdout!
cheers,

I know what your talking about.... I'm experiencing it too but my rattle/ticking noise is coming from the front left side above the pillar. I guess there is a plastic piece there too. I wonder if there is a TSB on it.......

I should have all the TSBs on the 03 CL-S, and this is not one of them. There was a post from 2001 or 2002 that mentioned someone having to replace the rear window seal to eliminate the ticking sound.
I'm thinking I can maybe hammer a wad of paper or velcro in the gap to stop the rattle--I just don't want to break my rear glass in the process! Mahalo!
