Raped by modded RSX-s

It wasn't much of a race. We raced from a roll at about 30. Around 55 or so he just walked me. I've always wanted to race one those since I got my car, (3 weeks ago) dammit, my first defeat. What a crapper, makes me wanna hop on my old Ninja600 then run him.....

My guess is 600lbs difference? Stick 3 people in his/her car and try racing again :-)

I think they only real mods out right now for the RSX-S are intake and cat-back....there could be more...but I haven't heard of more..

i looked at the rsx before i got my cl and they're too small and they're not that fast either. And besides even if they are modded unless he does a t3/t4 turbo with proper tranny work he's not comin anywhere near a stock CL-S

Dude..you need to stop smoking whatever you have over there.

A stock CL-S TYPICALLY runs around LOW 15's with about a 92-94mph trap speed (this is AVERAGE guys, I've seen a CL-S run high 15s..and I've seen a few in the 14's) A stock RSX-S typically runs LOW 15's with a 92-94mph trap speed....I'd say that's a pretty good match for a CL-S....

It does take some skill to get all 200hp out of the RSX....Nitrotiger probably ran into some guy who couldn't drive his car.....hell...my buddy and I were cruising around in his ALMOST stock Maxima...and we beat an S2000....does that mean that his max is faster than an S2000???? HELL NO!

dude...if an RSX had a turbo...it would DESTROY a CL-S....even a fully modded CL-S...

a turbo makes all the difference in the world i use to have one. but u don't think to mant guys will be putting a turbo on a rsx unles you got money to burn. it is the driver true but i have never seen a rsx run low 15's ever i had one for a loaner car and my buddy's type r wipe it up for breakfast. but all in all it is the driver who makes the difference.

First off, i dont know what your talkin about, definte "fully" modded and a turbo doesn't make your invincible buddy, even iwth a turbo and shit he's only gonna get about 350hp and maybe raise the torque 30-40lbs so its not gonna be ridiculously fast

ok...don't call me "buddy", I'm not your "BUDDY".

A "fully modded" is a CL-S (automatic trans per the topic of this thread) with all the normal bolt-ons. You can get...possibly a low 14 quarter with a set-up like that.

With 350 crank HP in an RSX...it would be in the 12s...EASY...I never said it would be invincible....I just said it would destroy a CL-S....

The reason I said that was becuase YOU said that an RSX would need a turbo to come anywhere near a CL-S....you really need to get a clue.

well if its normal bolt ons then its not fully modded, fully modded without custom turbo/supercharger work would be...intake/exhaust/headers/plugs/pulleys with a level 10 torque converter/tranny plus a good set of rubbers would stay right next to a turbocharged rsx i dont care what your saying And a turbo RSX would not run 12's cuz my friend has a supercharged SVT cobra 98 who has 425rwhp and i think 507crank hp who's running low12's with street tires. And besides you need torque on a dragstrip not hp

Why can't you respond to that one? you think a turbo is gonna drop that car 3 seconds in the quarter mile? And you know i'm right with the mods that i put up, just the torque converter wiht the level 10 tranny is enough to drop a second off the 0-60 time on that car and everyone on this website knows that. Plus the rest of the mods, your insane, go to maxima.org

dude...get a clue...it's a waste....you won't listen to reason...you're always right...and you turn an educated argument into a pissing match...and tell people that you will shit on their cars

and again...you're talking about 0-60 times...which mean close to NOTHING....

BTW- Don't tell me what I know....if you think you can have a CIVILIZED argument...PM me...or else don't bother me.

I think they are pretty dame ugly. i like the old intergra body style. id take the type R any day over the RSX piece of crap. and it cost like 24g's for that dame thing!

just looked around...the cl-s quarter is listed at 14.7 and the rsx-s is 14.8..of course those numbers might not be for the daily driver

I would have to agree with TypeSKiller...the RSX is faster than you guys think. Its pound for pound one of the best engines honda makes. My friend has an IS300 and he raced an RSX (not type-S) and lost by a car length. The RSX-S should keep up with (if not beat) the CL-S. they have about the same quarter mile...it would probably come down to driver skill. all in all i think the RSX is a very nice car...its the best in its class...

I have to agree with TypeSKiller, my roomate has an RSX-S. When he first got it and sucked and shifting it I could easily take him, once he got used to it we were pretty evenly matched. Now that he has the Intake and I am still stock he usually can just barely edge me out. I'd say the auto stock cl-s and the 6-speed stock RSX-S are even. A 6-speed CL-S would probably take a stock 6-speed RSX-S.
