I had a nice little run in with a 2003 Range Rover (the Big One) last night, didn't seem to have alot of torque or good handling. This guy kept pulling up trying to pass me in the turns, so I just kept punching it when he got close, I kept spanking him all the way up the Mountain for about 10 miles. I was driving up hwy 18 (Waterman Canyon Road) to Lake Arrowhead. A very nice stretch of road, if your in the area you gotta do some driving up here, it's a blast! Just don't blame me if your rotors get warped .

 

No they definitely aren't supposed to be fast.

0 to 60 in the 10 second range. However some of the people who drive them i'm sure wish they were faster.

 

He made the wrong choice for $70,000+ if he wants to be the fastest guy on the road, luxury yes speed no.

 

The fastest European Range Rover hits 60 in approximately 9 seconds.

The diesels are much slower.

They are really heavy.

 

They must be very solid, do the European models come with the BMW 8cylinder engine?

 

Land Rover has always had a very bad reputation for reliability.

The new Range Rover is made in cooperation with BMW. It think they are much better now.

The 4.4 gasoline and the 3.0 diesel are from BMW.

 

i dont think so.... maybe the 04 are quick....
