Ran a stang GT

and won. Didn't race too high but I pulled on him good. It was primarily from a 30-70 sprint (I forgot to shift and hit the rev limiter). mind you he did have at least 3 in his car to me being solo and judging by the way the car went it was stock and auto. I think the 2-3 additional passengers made the real difference not to mention I have headers and icebox.

I also say a nice lowered ABP TLS with chrome 18s (at least) and a body kit. Looked nice. He definitely wanted to play once I gave him a thumbs up but a trooper got on the road in front of us and then my twin exited. Car looked nice and made me want to lower mine! I also saw a nice lowered, chromed white TL. Funny but the nice weather brings out the chrome in cars (some nice, some not). Fortunately the TLs repped! I almost had a run with a B5 S4 but had to turn but he definitely wanted to play.

Yeah. I know I had an advantage with the extra passengers. Would have been a better race had he been alone.

I had an encounter with a stang GT the other day, but it had a rolling start while I was completely stopped, so it clearly had the advatage. I was expecting it to pull walk by me like Iw as stopped, but It only slowly plled away from me. I'm pretty sure it was a 97 or 98 stang, but had it actualy been stopped too I have a feeling he would have only pulled maybe 1/2 a car on me.

well a manual GT stang would have probably spanked me if he were alone...it would have been pretty even with the passengers he had were it a manual.

It was a current gen stang (looked like a 2000/01/02).

You must be talking about the older GT, previous to the current model GT< because the newer model GT in a manual would have taken you by multiple car lengths
