ur pulleys, although i would not endorse them :o

good tires, gas light on, stripped trunk.

weight reduction is key.

very well done!!!!!! do what dustin said, get some volk te-37's you will be 13.9 - 14.1 easy!!!! get them with stock tire size so you don't add weight.

go with 16's!!!!!!
you will spool them puppies up FAST!!!!!! plus they will be light as fawk!!!! probably around 15lbs each for rim alone!!!

if your are going to keep the rims on all the time, get 17's or 18's if you want them just for racing, get the 16's!!

Nice 17.025!!!

Nice work bro! Get some lightweight rims on your strong-runnin' car.

If you get them just for racing at the track (or around town) get 'em in 16" like Aztec said. If they're dailys get 17s if you want to keep your performance up, 18s only if looks are more important.

also - excellent reaction time.

16's and even with sticky tires would there still be a problem with traction?

those 19" forged centerlines only weigh 15lbs. too bad they are the wrong offset. i wonder if they would make a +50 set for mattg

Is the reason for running on an empty tank for weight reduction also? But what about all those harmful deposits that are on the bottom or whatever...couldn't that affect performance?

peiqing, yes it's for weight sake. and i doubt there are any harmful deposits in my tank. the car only has 22,000 mi, and it's drank nothing but chevron super unleaded since it was born. don't you ever get to the point where your gas light comes on

i do all the time :o

Yea I've done more times than I wished...not on purpose...but because I guestimated the remaining fuel off...damn acura for not putting a miles remaining computer on our cars! I use 76 premium and tried Chevron once with undesirable results...I think it may have been a fluke and I will definitely try it again one day. I used to use Chevron all the time on my previous car...ran the best with it.

I'm most likely not going to get pulleys due to warranty concerns...but I am curious as what your impressions of them are considering you don't seem all but happy with the results. Other people with the pulleys seem content that they can get to VTEC quicker...what is so bad in you case besides the whole crank pulley arguement.

not a breakout, but a redlight. i believe a sportsman tree uses .500 while a pro uses .400

thats why some of you think i pulled a saweet light, when actually i red lighted. it has no effect on e.t. though.

breaking out is when you run faster than your dial in.

the pulleys seem to work fine. the pulley set {- the alt. pulley } and new tires shaved over 3 tenths off my quarter mile. so they definately freed up some horsepower. but it's still up in the air whether i am doing damage to my engine every time i drive somebody has to test this shit out though and worst case scenerio i have to get a 3.5L shortblock in a couple years.

i am pissed i don't have my alt. pulley. i called UR last week and told them i had a big race coming up on the weekend, and that i wanted my pulley by friday. they said i would get it but it's tuesday and i still haven't seen it. fuck UR. they got there money and now they don't care. i repeat, fuck those assholes.

matt tell me about your launch technique...Ive gotten 2.203 60' ft times and 6.200 ,but it came up 9.433 @76.77...do you peg leg it on the launch or do you feed it throttle quickly? and do you gate shift or SS i find SS does alittle better for me and i do try to shift from 2nd to third just before i bump the rev limiter

typeR, i think i gateshifted to run the 14.32 this time. in june i was in ss. i had my front tire pressure at 23lbs, rear at 45lbs. and turn the rear struts to the stiffest setting. i launch w/ a torque brake then wot. when i had raced before i didn't get much wheelspin, this time i had quite a bit, and it got worse as the day went on. i'd like to practice some throttle feathered launches but i doubt they would be better. drag radials would be best

i still don't know which method of shifting is faster. i thought ss was but it seemed gateshifting was faster this time. but i still ran in the 14.30's in ss too so ss is nice for me cuz i like to hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 :o

About pulling same times with gateshifting and SS:

Well you said more wheelspin this time, so maybe 13.2s with gateshifting if you cut down on the spin.

I am not all impressed with Comptech Headers i think the only real gain is on the highway upstairs and how many times are we all trying to do 150mph i think the real gain is in the air box i have trick up my sleeve i am working on!!!

Graet time Mattg, I am trying to convience my wife to do the import wars at the NE draqway this saturady.

However, I did not perp my car yet. I need to do:
1) CAI cone clean up (due in 5k miles.)
2) Mobil SuperSyn Oil. (due in 0.5k miles.)
3) ATF fluid change (due in 5k miles.)

Of course ligthning up the trunk, no jack, no spare, no mats, empty glove box. Empty Gas tank, and I will try this time 1-Galon of 104 Unleanded racing Fuel.

Waether is forcasted for this Saturday Low 64 Hi in low 80s and Humidity is from 37% to up to 75%.

Just wishing now hopping it works with the wife
