BTW, it is Syclone. Do you now if he had any mods?? Also, it is 13 years old too. But nonetheless, they certainly run out of steam up top. Heck, they only rev to about 4500 before shifting.

But build boost on the line and they are a terror when going stop light to stop light.

I was running low 13's in my Typhoon but at only about 101 - 102 MPH.

I remember when these trucks first came out. They built them at our Shreveport plant. My dad (engineer for GM) got to bring one home one time. I was about 13 or so. All I remeber is how damn fast that thing was (Dad knows I have always been thrilled by Speed). 0-60 you were just stuck to the seat and AWD, no traction problems whatsoever, and we took it up to the max speed of 120 mph a couple of runs (speedo and turbo boost gauge pegged out). I also remember the seat supports were like manual blood pressure cuffs, with the bulb pumper and release vavle. Damn that was a cool ass truck.

if i remember correctly, the syclone was the quickest vehicle car & driver had ever tested from 50-70mph, top gear acceleration.

at least at the time.
