My Cd player stopped working. I just put 3 new cd in on sunday and it ate them and told me error1... than shut off. I was pissed. Has anyone else had this problem? Now just the radio works. I hit the eject button and that used to spit out all the cd's but now just the error1 shows up. I took it to acura and my buddy in service is ordering me a new radio but i mite never see my cd's again. WTF!

yeah i replaced the stock cd changer within the first week it was pretty sketchy it didnt work sometimes..

 

Just smash the old CD player and you should get your CDs back.

 

Acura is getting another one and installing it free of charge. I would put in a alpine or pioneer but i'm still under waranty until 105,000 miles. As long as I still have the sub's in the trunk I'll be ok. This may be a good time to put in the adaptor for the I-pod. Does anyone know where i can find one or have one for sale?

 

The blitz ipod adapter is perfect. It fits into the back of the stock head unit using the 14 pin connect and it plays through your bose sound system as well as charges the ipod as well. The steering wheel controls still work and you have to hit the CD mode button twice to activate the ipod and CD again to go to your CDs and it still makes use of the 6 disc cd changer, great mod! There a couple in the black market on sale.

When mine did it the dealer replaced the HU & sent the HU with the jammed CD's back to some service center. I had my CD's back in about 3 weeks.

 

Sorry to break this to you, but the CD player IS an Alpine unit. Only the speakers are Bose. Found that out while researching my own similar issue with it.

 

Mine used to do this. There are posts here showing what to do. A certain button combination can usually get the CD operating again. It worked on mine. hold eject and CD button together or some such.

The easiest fix on mine, oddly, is to push on the plastic piece inside the CD slot with my fingert, this always resets my CDs. but I've had no more problems with it for the last year.
You can usually get the CDs working again in my experience. but mine never shut off, it just switched to Radio.
