SML presented federal and states legislation controlling the use of radar detectors and jammers. Jamming or attempting to jam a police radar gun is a federal felony with fines up to $75,000.00 under CFR 47-15.20, 333.4. Although the Federal Communications Commission issued a “cease” order to jammer maker Rocky Mountain Radar of El Paso, TX, no federal action has been taken to enforce the order. The states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Washington D.C. and Virginia have state laws banning radar jammers. California and Utah ban both radar and laser jammers. Only Virginia and Washington, D.C. band the use of radar detectors in cars. Radar detector use in eighteen wheelers was banned in all states in February 1995, CFR 47-392,392.7.

So now In Cali and Utah using Laser Jammers is now illegal too .... No Blinder or K40 for you folks...
