Raced a SRT-4

I don't post on here much but i read a lot of topics... just wanted to see others' experiences with racin an SRT-4... my buddy just got one .. bone stock except for Mopar BOV.. and I just have CT Header/Intake.. stupid me punched the gas a few mins before the race and the VSA kicked in.. i know it cuts out power to gain traction then but would it affect the ECU later cuttin back power throughout the whole RPM band? well in the end we raced a few times from 2nd gear and he beat me by at least 2 car lenghts everytime all the way through 4th

Maybe you should change your screen name to "decelerate".

I had someone in an SRT-4 give me the finger cause I kept messing with him in NJ...rolling by him at 100+ and then I'd slow down, he'd catch up...I'd pull away from him...Kinda funny for me, but I have outgrown those days.

get a supercharger, you might have a better chance then.

i've raced a SRT-4, they are quick to take off, but down the line they can't hold it.

the one I raced i gave a head start of about 2 car lengths, he gunned it, and i still caught up to him and by the time i hit 130 he was about 2 car lengths behind me but i wasn't sure i was too busy keeping my eyes on the road.

yea i just dont know how he did it... i know 4th gear sucks in our cars.. but i woulda thought that header/intake it woulda been a more even race .. i dont wanna do nitrous but this makes me seriously think into a charger.. i already have a turbo on my accord and im yet to race him in that but it has been my experience that forced induction makes cars somewhat unreliable

I have noticed the same thing while racing WRXs. They only good at low speeds.

I don't know who told you that?? One reason why the SRT-4 is called the Supra of the 4bangers is because of its strong top end especially when modded.
