I was on the 8 West last night just leaving the IN-N-Out in Mission Valley. And this V6 Alero that is the same as mine back home but there is no way it had the work mine has done to it. so we are doing about 65 and he is taking off going in and out of traffic at 60-90mph and i'm following right on his ass. then we have an opening and I move over to his lane and he without even looks at me takes off, we are doing about 80 right now and he takes off I realize it and put it in third take it to 120mph, leave him about 6 cars behind. He wants more which is cool so he comes on my ass cause I slowed back down to 75. I move over again and now we both start even at 70ish so I was in low RPMS in third so 70-90 was pretty even, because the alero is at its max trq around 70-90 mph then once I hit Vtec in 3rd it was all over and I took my car to about 130 and left him way way behind.

 

out of curiousity, what have you had done to your alero, anyway?

V6 170 HP at 5000 rpms stock
200 trq at 3500 rpms stock

So stock ran 0-60 7.7, 1/4 16.1

Had it running low 7s and mid 15s

 

Shit, i dunno man, I am for modding cars and shit but damn an alero? I wouldn't waste my time. But it's seems that PGA is a speed freak so more power to you

 

HAHAH well thanks. Reason I got the Alero is for my first car I got my moms 5.9 Jeep which was about 15 months old and my dad also said I could get another car that had to be a sedan but like and everyday driver. So my price limit was $25K and it had to be brand new. So I picked the Alero for $23,500 and then spent my own money afterwards to mod it up. I thought it was one of the nicest cars for $23K. LIke everything about it. But wanted to have some fun with it. Cause I was also doing stuff to the Jeep at the same time. And Alero that did low 7s surprised a lot of people. But nothing like the 5.9 Jeep which did mid to upper 6s that really shocked em hahahah.

Lol my first car was a 2000 alero v6. I still have it (gave it to my parents for a 2001 cl-s =D). Though its acceleration kinda sux, it has nice torque, and incredible features for such a cheep car.
