raced my friends 97 maxima
my friend used to have a pearl white eclipse w/ a whole bunch stuff (30k+), but he wrecked it, and got a maxima from the insurance money.
so we are going up a local road near my house and we stop at a red light. when it turned green, we both took off with a little spin, but the funny thing is, by the end of first gear i was 2 cars ahead, and he could'nt seem to pass me. we both shut down around 70mph and i was still 2+ cars ahead.
p.s. he has an all stock auto max, i have a 2.2 5spd w/ i/h/e/short shifter

Nice! About two weeks ago i ran into a maxima.org member on kenilworth Ave. I think his name was Starchildmax i forget. He too had a 97-99 modded max auto. At the light he tailed me and I WOTed the hell out of my car and it was about a 10-12 car lead to 110.
We talked at the next light and he said i just kept climbing and climbing on him, he was pretty cool tho. Seems like I been running into a lot of maxs recently. Sorry about the thread hi jack

hey russ - I know what you mean. But i have to hide my head, I use to have two nissans. A 95 gle max and 98 se pathfinder. Back in 95 i thought the max was the shizits until my parents bought their lexus. Now the old gens are kinda out of date unless supercharged. No flame intended. Plus dude from maxima.org was cool, a fellow caribbean!

i dont know what you are talking about the meax got 255hp and run high 14 just like the cl-s and the max does come with a 6 speed also you wont competly beat one and by the way nice kill i read somewhere that the 97 max e run's a 14.9 and you car is about a 15.9 at the most so very nice you must be a good ass driver and got a das ass launch.
