Raced an LS400 yesterday....

I was in the right-hand lane of a two-lane road, nobody was in the left lane. He pulled up behind me and followed for about 1/4 mile or so then flashed his brights and pulled to the left beside me. I looked over (we were doing about 50 mph) and his passenger gave a funny look, then they took off. Well, the light up ahead was red so I just waited. Of course, he cut me off because his lane had two cars at the light and mine zero. The light turned green as we rolled up to it and he took off, so did I. I was in SS and pulled on him fast, passing him in the first bend. By the time I had to shift to 4th, at about 105 or so, his nose was even with my rear. I shifted into 4th and my car felt like it just died!!! He caught me at 120 then we had to slow because of a sharp turn ahead, which I handled pretty well while not braking at all (but it sure would have been nice to have had springs and sways installed). He turned at the next light. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon.

Sounds like a good time.. racing with a car well over $20k more than ours.. 1/4 mile times for the Ls430 (I know.. you raced a LS400) are 14.7-15.3 secs... so you did well. =)

Same thing racing a 330i, except it pulls me and then I gain from 60 up. I can pull right up to its rear end at around 100 when I hit fourth and that's it. Of course, I cook is300s and clk320s and heads up with t5s.
