Raced a CLK430
Im driving down a 3 lane Blvd and I see in my rearview a car approaching fast. It was a CLK430. He was weaving in and out of some traffic and he was flying. I pull up next to him at a red light. He is in the middle, i am on the one end and his friend in a VW fox was on the other end. So i rev my engine just to see what he could do, i knew i couldn't win. He smoked me, right off the line and throughout the whole race (2 blocks)Atleast i beat the VW by alot. 
He just shut it down and at the next light he said "don't even waste your gas" in a humorus type of way. But he commented on my car and that was it.

hmm 14.8 in the 1/4, 275hp, good match for our cars...i beat one, but not on the freeway...probably would've dusted me on the freeway after 100

i though the clk 430 was much faster then that. maybe the clk320 runs 14.8's. i dotn really know, but if ur right then i have been totallay overestimating how fast that car is. i always drool at it, but 14.8s? ur cl type s is as fast.

the 430s run low 14s...with an auto...so, they aren't gonna mess up like all the guys with 5/6spds....

that benz is a rip off anyway i went to check out a lease price when the market was good and the guy wanted 900 a month on a lease, then he market fell so i got a cls and saved about 425 a month and i am laughing all the way to te bank baby!!!!! hey what kind of stuff u got in that car mike?

Yup me gonna quote some mag numbers: Motor Trend May 99
0-60 mph: 6.5 secs
1/4 mile: 14.8 secs
Manufacturer data has coupe CLK430 0-60mph: 6.1 secs and for the convertible 6.9 secs
0-60 mph: 6.5 secs
1/4 mile: 14.8 secs
