Yes, I posted a long-winded message about racing a CLK430 back on H/A net last year.

My brother has a new CLK430 (he works for MBUSA, it is a company car) that I drove and noticed that it felt incredibly like my CL-S.
We decided to take them out and have our own little comparison.

To make a long story short, the two cars were so evenly matched that it was incredible. It couldn't have been any closer if it were two Acuras or two MBs racing.

By the way, Motor Trend listed the SAME EXACT NUMBERS for both cars in 0-60, 1/4 mile and trap speed.

Yea, the CLK4 and the CLS should be dead even by all accounts.

For the 330Ci, a stick shift would beat us, but I think we can beat a auto

I believe that... that baby has a 4.3 liter V8 (2cyl and 1.1 liters more then us)... I bet a huge amount of the power that engine is capable of producing is untapped.

I mean shit... look at some of the numbers the tuners get outta that sucker.

Both has a 330 and a CLS. He said the 330 is tough to launch. Make sure you race from a stand still.
From the roll the 330 wins. I'll hunt down the post.
