Sunday, nice weather.. everything took place near my house on a very straight road without much traffic around.

All I know is that the 350Z was manual... looks like the track edition. Did only one run from a 25 mph roll, he immediately got about 1 or 1.5 cars on me, and we shutdown around 100mph and he pulled on my the whole way.. not as much as I thought, but indeed a very noticable pull. I think I might have done better if I didn't have the extra stero equipments and the 19's. But a race is a race, he won fair and square. btw, I was in SS mode.

When we got to the red light, I told him he had a nice performance car, and gave him the in return, he said nice luxury car, and gave me a in return.

I then asked him if he would like to race my performance car since he seems to be a very good sport, and he ask what it was, and I told him it was a S/C'd S2K, and he said, I'll probably kill him, but he still wanted to see. So he followed me back to my house, so I can pick up my S.

After I drove around for a few minutes to warm up to Vtec temperture, I asked him if we could do it from a roll again, because I still have my stock clutch, and it's not doing too well right now.. and he gladly accepted because he told me that he didn't really want to hard launch his baby either.

So again from around 25mph.. (this time I remember to be in 2nd instead of 3rd Matt! ) He had real good jump on me, but as soon as my Vtec kicked in, perfect speed shift every gear upto fourth.. around 100mph, I was about 4-5 bus lane ahead.

After we shutdown, he rolled up and told me "great run, it was fun." and we gave each other a friendly wave and went on our own ways.

Very nice guy. Glad there are people around my neck of the woods that is welling to play.

To protect the engine, especially at 9000RPM, the ECU won't Vtec until the oil tempture is up to a certain degree.

 

cool...how much hp are you at the crank (s2k)? I heard the comptech SS is around 330.

 

294HP at the wheel, and my car has been dyno tuned so now it's putting down about 325 rwhp. I don't have the power cooler, so I'm only boosting about 6.8psi.

Is Honda ever gonna make the s2200?? I've been hearing rumors here and there but nothing concrete.

 

s2200 is a go i believe...same hp output, but more torque

 

But lower redline.

 

I think it also has either 250 or 260HP at the crank instead of 240.
