I was driving down the George Washington (GW) Parkway today about 11:00 am, going into work. It's a Federal Highway (managed by the Park Service), so I try to watch my speed (going to Feral Court for a speeding ticket really sucks)!

At one point, the 2-lane highway merges into one lane to let people who are coming over the Chain Bridge (from DC) merge onto GW Parkway. Once it opened back into 2 lanes, I began passing a bunch of cars. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw the Accord on my ass. I punched the gas to speed up and move back into the right lane to let him by.

Eventually, he passes me and goes on his way. After a few miles, he got caught up in slow traffic and I caught up to him. I followed him for a while, then the traffic broke free.

He puched it, and I immediate caught up to him. We would come up on other cars and slow down. This happened for about a mile or so (on a twisty part of the highway, including going under Key Bridge). I never passed him (there was never a free lane to do so), but always caught up to him and would drive through his ass end if I didn't let off the gas.

Finially, the exit for the Roosevelt Bridge came up and I had to exit.

This was nothing spectacular, but fun all the same.

I wish I would have had an opportunity (a free lane) to pass his ass!

wait a second....you're saying that you lost to a 6 speed accord ON the bottle? yet, in your sig, your best 1/4 mile is 14.06? they dont run near that stock, so you should have beaten him?

edit:

wait, I just re-read it and you said you caught up to him everytime, but didn't have the chance to pass due to the lanes? so you WOULD have beaten him, right?

hmmm... how much is a nitrous kit for the 3.0 anyways. And what if I just wanted to use it at certain times, and only very rarely. could I do that?

In the meantime, the Accord V6 driver is looking into his rear view mirror thinking, "what does this guy want with me? Why doesnt he leave me alone? Where are the police when you need them? OMG!!! ......whew!! He got exited the highway. I wonder what that was about. "
