Raced a 330ci 5MT tonight...
My buddy took gave me a ride back home from work tonight, and he took me to the train station, where I had left my car for the morning commute.
We ended up at a light, no one around... So he pulled up next to me. Smiled...
That fucker! 
I quickly reach for the VSA button.
Light turns green and I'm watching him more than the light... We're both off. Well, he is at first, as my shitty ass tires managed to spin for what seemed like forever. Through first gear, he's about 3/4 a car length ahead. Through second gear, I managed to pull on him just a bit. Shifting into third, our V1s picked up a little Ka band, so we had to shut em' down.
The sad thing was, he had freakin' blizzaks on his car!
I'd accept defeat if he had his damn summer tires on, but sonw tires???? That's pathetic...
Hopefully we'll have a chance to do it again...

yah 330 ci manual tranny is pretty quick... and it is lighter than cls..so..it might have a chance to smoke cls..but 328ci will not..my stupid friend has a auto 328ci..he just think his car is best and fastest ..haha.moron

Well, after reading my post it's obvious that I can't type complete or comprehendible sentences while arguing with the wife!!!

Cost Drivers!!!!
You messed up the launch or else you would've beat him. Remember to go 1>2>3 through the gate so you can redline 1st. Racing with our stock tires takes abit of practice. You need to easy on the throttle and then punch it. Race him again.....

If your boy has a manual 330Ci and you go easy on your throtle and then punch it you will still lose. I guess you can vouch that the 330's aren't as slow as some here seem to think...BTW, don't let Ruf87 know you lost, he's gonna give you a nice tongue lashing

Man! I saw that. Turn in yout Type-S badge! You are not worthy. So ask your fellow Type-S owners for forgiveness.
Now go out and practice your launches and shifting. Then go out and find that 330Ci and redeem yourself.

Too bad the race was prematurely stopped. Otherwise, the CL-S would have had the 330Ci for lunch!
Yeah, it's that simple.
I don't know how BMW launches so well, however with our extra horses, after about 40 mph "it's no problem"
Get wider tires, that will help your launches.
