Raced an 03 Cobra

From 60-160 on the freeway. Put about 9-10 cars on him.

We got caught in traffic way down the road and he pulls up beside me and says, "What year Cobra is THAT?" lol

dizam...

you must have one mean ass cobra to be pulling that much on an '03. My buddy has one with only the lightning pulley and borla exhaust... he puts out 473rwhp! What kinda numbers you make with your Vortec + intercooler?

well..

You didn't expect to come in here and see some CL-TypeS pull on an '03 cobra to 160 by 9-10 CAR LENGTHS, did you? Someone would have to be smoking crack to say that!

On a related topic, has anyone brought their CL to 160+? I've only got mine up to 130... I guess it could go faster?

Well, so far 416 is all I can claim, but that was at 5800 rpm. I just recently fixed a cavitation problem with the aftercooler and now I can pull it to 7000. It is "bench dynoing" a bit, but my curve through 5800 rpm is in line with those who make 480-490ish. Again, like I said, it is "bench dynoing". but anyone who knows about blown DOHC 4.6s, knows that the torque has barely peaked by 5800 and HP flys up from there. I will have it on the drums within the next two weeks and will have it at the track this Sunday for firm numbers.

Yup, you were right... that was a typo on my part. Not 473, I meant 437rwhp.

His numbers with pulley and catback (and air silencer removed) were...

437rwhp/456 lb-ft torque. I forget the numbers he peaked at... something like 4700 for hp, and 3200 for torque? Don't quote me on those rpms though. Still, your car is one bad mother...

I don't run enough tire to lift the front. I could with some true slicks i am sure.
