This Honda S2000 is by far and away the baddest one I've ever seen. I can't ever imagine the amount of money in this car. Check this shit out.

DP's for life
That seems like BS if there are 40K in upgrades on a 30K car then why would the buy it now be so low...
Looks sweet regardless, the rims and calipers look real nice.

Very nice car and setup... but I am suspicious. The owners say they want to 'cash out' in order to buy real-estate. Now... they purchased a '04 NSX with a Comptech S/C the previous week - eh? Some type of confusion with their priorities????

Believe it or not guys, that car has an unreal amount of money invested in it. I know because the owner is a very good friend of mine. The car is incredibly immaculate and worth far more than he is asking.
The only reason he is selling is because he needs cash to buy a house. He needs to liquidate as much as possible to get the downpayment. That includes getting rid of his beloved S. You have no idea how much time and effort went into building this car. Half the parts on the car took almost 6 months to get.
If anyone parted the car out they would make their money back and more within a few months time. He just doesnt have the time.
Regadless, dont fel too bad for the guy. He did just buy an 04 NSX and Evo8 for his lady. So i m sure he will do fine regardless.

The house he is buying is not even built yet. They are just starting to take deposits on them. This is a great investment opposrtunity. SO great that he is willing to lose money on this car beacuse in the long run he will make much more on the house.
As I said, its a no lose situation for him. Either way , its nothing to me, Im not making any money. The members here that do know me know that I wouldnt lie and have no reason to

I think that we should all throw in a few bucks and do a time share on it. I'd pay $20 for 20 mins in that thing. We only need 2350 people to pay the $20 and it's ours.

Hey guys - it's my car, I just thought I'd clarify the amounts and the logic/reasoning for selling.
My wife and I were out joyriding in the NSX a couple weeks back and stopped in to just look at the plans for some new houses they're putting in about 5 miles up the road. We've been planning on moving next spring for over a year, and we just wanted to see what this new place had to offer.
Anyone that's considered new construction probably knows that the developers offer pre-construction pricing if people lock in before they even start building the first house. Further, they raise the price of the homes $10k or so every other month, and only build three per month. With 57 homes total, if you were to wait till the last few houses were sold, the places will be around $100k more.
That said, they need $50k to lock in the contract price. Remember that we weren't planning on moving for over a year... we have over $100k in equity in our current home and the bulk of our savings this past year has gone into growing/funding my wife's business (smart investment). We can't sell the Evo because with the baby on the way, we need the sedan. Selling the NSX is not an option because we just made payment #2 and it's the most insane car I've ever owned (ie, just try to pry the keys from my cold, dead hands). The S2000 on the other hand, really just sits in the garage and collects dust now (especially since we got the NSX) and we not only owe very little on the car, we paid cash for all the mods. It seems to be the fastest way to get a chunk of the $50k downpayment together quickly.
So, while we'll lose $30k or so on the S, we can lock in with the lot we want, the house we want and the place will be worth at least $100k more 18 months from now.
The $40k number is fairly accurate - I'm missing some stuff here, and it only counts current parts (you know how it is - buy one part, change your mind, sell it at a loss, try again):
Mugen Hardtop - $2,750.00
Mugen Hood - $2,720.00
Mugen SS Wing - $1,240.00
Paint Hardtop - $400.00
Paint Hood - $400.00
Paint Spoiler - $250.00
Cavalleresco Body Kit - $3,950.00
Paint Body Kit - $1,200.00
Red/Black Leather - $770.00
JIC Magic FLT-A2 - $1,450.00
Brakezone BBK - $1,350.00
SSR GT3/Yokos - $2,820.00
Comptech Exhaust - $850.00
Comptech Supercharger - $4,895.00
Comptech Aftercooler - $1,200.00
Comptech Flywheel - $419.00
ACT Street Clutch - $149.00
ACT HD Pressure Plate - $449.00
Comptech Header - $989.00
Comptech Lower X-Brace - $372.00
Comptech STB - $284.00
ASP 4.3" Pulley - $64.00
Install SC/FW/Header @ Dealer - $880.00
Polish Valve Cover - $190.00
Polished Injector Cover - $109.00
Polished Battery Tie-Down - $60.00
CF Radiator Block Plate - $275.00
CF Wire Cover - $155.00
JDM Sidemarkers - $36.00
Team Voodoo Shift Knob - $72.00
Smoked Diffusers - $95.00
Lighweight Waterpump Pulley - $142.00
Proflow Ported Throttle Body - $155.00
Mugen Reservoir Covers - $27.00
Mugen Oil Cap - $77.00
Mugen Thermostat - $70.85
Mugen Fan Switch - $48.00
APEXi VAFC w/ Harness - $519.00
Mugen Radiator Cap - $31.00
Hondata Heatshield Gasket - $71.00
Veilside Tonneau Cover - $440.00
Paint Veilside Tonneau Cover - $400.00
Stereo Crap (can't find receipt) - $3,500.00
Reserve is actually $42.5k. If it doesn't hit it, we're selling the car off in parts - we'll actually make $5k more doing it that way, but it takes time to uninstall the components and coordinate with buyers. No crap was used on the car - everything is top-shelf, best we could get. I realize some of the Comptech parts are listed at straight retail - that's the price I paid to buy them through my Honda dealer and then have them installed there (no warranty headaches).

It's not a money problem, per se - we're not broke by any stretch of the imagination, we're just trying to get as much cash together as quickly as possible to make this deal with the house happen.
Hell, I can scan and post the spec sheet from the developer that shows we need to hand them $47.5k when we sign the contract.
