my friend has a 1990 red 300zx and he asked me if i wanted to race. we both have automatic so i said what the hell. the first race he told me that we were going to drop to d1 and go from there. i had never raced before and didnt know when to shift, so obviously he beat me. the second time, i told him that he could shift but i was going to drive in d4 but he decided to shift as well. i beat him by half a car. i was wondering when u guys race when do u shift with a 3.0?

btw, those were my first 2 races ever. im addicted to speed now

ill assume it was a NA ..

um, shift a little before redline.. if you want to gate shift

 

although u might wanna be careful with the 3.0 tranny.

i met this guys today and he offered my friend $5k for his 300zx.
my friend didnt want to but this guy had like about 6 300zx's.
he has one that is a twin turbo and it puts out 700+hp.
he said he did a lot to it.
just thought it was cool.

 

NA, naturally aspirated, ie not the turbo model, either the straight up 2+0, the 2+2, or the vert.

a TT would smoke you... and even an NA will be close, esp from a dig
