You know where the glovebox is? Look at the panel to the right of it. Now picture a big nasty scratch (from moving boxes) on that panel. The acura dealer (hoehn c-bad) told me that I had two options. 1) get it repaired for about $100 or 2) replace the panel for about $52 + half hour to hour fee (something like $42-$84) so total cost of about $94-136
I'm so annoyed right now. That scratch pisses me off but that's a pretty expensive repair.
Todays question: what would you do?

How hard is it to replace the panel yourself? Why not just spend ~$50 and buy a new panel and then DIY! I'm not 100% sure of which panel you're talking about, but I'm thinking it can't be that hard to replace.
Its the panel directly to the right of the glovebox.
The guy told me that the panel actually extends up under the dash board and it isn't a trivial repair. I'm not sure which other components this would effect (airbag for example).
