a quick offset question...

a quick offset question...

will a 18" x 8" rim with 225/40/18 40 offset fit on my 2001cl-s, my car isn't dropped by the way.
please I need an answer since I'm close to buying them

I think you'd be better off with a +48 offset. Ask EricL.

WHOA!!!!

+40 offset??? hmm.... actually, ok... they'll work, but they'll stick out a little. if you have options, i'd say to aim closer to a +45-48mm offset... remember that 1mm isn't a lot, but when you get into the 10's, we're talkin centimeters, which can make a big difference and maybe even adversely affect handling (in good ways and bad)...

i recall that in the A-TL forum in the faq section there's a guide there about offset calculation. Keep in mind that a recommended offset can change by varying the width of the tire/rim.

I had a 40 offset See pics---the cheap ass konigs. The rear tires rubbed on hard cornering I went ot 50 offset in my AT Italias and have no problems. I will add comptech spring sin the spring
