Question's for Scalbert
Great job on your R@D on the J32 series. In regards to your intercooler package on your website......... Will the stock hood close?
On your website it states, "8 PSI Supercharger Pulley (Requires the 3.275 Inch Alternator/Supercharger Drive Pulley)"
is the 3.275 inch pulley in addition to your high boost pulley or is it included? If it is not included, where do I find it?

Hello and thanks,
The prototype cleared the stock hood just fine. I have put a few thousand miles on it and it hasn't rubbed the hood yet.
However, in the desire to keep the stock hood clearance I went with a shorter core for the kit. This will give the factory hood clearance while being just as efficient.
There are two pulleys involved with the SC kit. The alternator pulley and the SC pulley. The alternator pulley is the one which needs to be upgraded prior to the kit being supplied. This raises the base kit boost to 5.5 PSI and is commonly referred to as the HBP (High Boost Pulley). From there the remaining boost increases are by way of the SC pulley.

With this being said, is your dyno of 369HP at the wheels with the shorter core or the original prototype? Do you have any pictures of the IC with the shorter core?
Hate to beat a dead horse, but would you be able to point me in a direction to purchase the HBP?
Thanks Scalbert.

I will have the new core in within a week or two and will post pics then.
You can get the HBP from VR in Orlando.

Steve-
What a pain it will be to put on the HBP from velocity. What were the problems in just making a smaller pulley for just the SC to get the same boost? Even better, a smaller pulley to get up to the boost you have acheived without changing the alternator pulley? Thanks in advance.

I wanted to keep the base kit's belt proportions which required using both pulleys.
It really isn't bad to change out the alternator pulley if you have the correct tools. An impact gun and a minimum 12 inch extension can take the pulley. You obviously need to pull the alternator bolts but you do not need to remove it (which would require removal of the SC). You can turn it enough to get the socket on it and with the extension to can remove the nut.
I could change one out in 30 - 45 minutes now and that includes clean up , etc.
