i have a CL-P and im planing to get a set of HKS dragger for my car, i heard many people told me draggers are street legal, but someone told me yesterday that the draggers are only legal for smog but not sound... ??? so...........is it legal or not?

 

I would guess that they are street legal for sound. They don't seem that loud but then again almost no one gets pulled over for muffler noise in my area.

 

Just make sure u don't go thru a trash cop town such as Tracy (no offense to those ppl who live there) where they got nothing better to do than profile ur ass for driving a nice car. I called HKS and they HAVE NOT verified that this is sound legal either. Truthfully, the comptechs sound louder, but it's the look of the Dragers that will get you pulled over. And trust me, u will get pulled over.... I used to to live in LA and we ALL KNOW about the cops in the san gabriel valley....

I'd guess they're legal. I was pulled over in LA a couple months ago with my HKS on there and he didn't say a thing. They're not loud at all.

 

I wouldnt worry about the HKS exhaust being loud. I just rode on one, and they make less noise then the comptechs.

What Hellawhat is saying is that they are Street Legal...smog and noise but a cop can still pull you over...give you a ticket and make you go throught the hassle of writing it off and paying the admin fee....in effect, if a cop wants to give you shit and piss you off....he can.
