Questions about deleting AC

When deleting the ac what should be removed ?
compressor and mount, condensor, drier, evaporator and lines.
Anyone got weights of these pieces ?

Does anyone know what belt to use when deleting the compressor and using a UR underdrive pully ?

no offence but why bother removing the ac on a luxury car? the car is a boat and is FWD. removing the ac won't change that.

i love my cl but i am still realistic about what it is, and is capeable of

Removing for weight loss. I won't need ac for the next 5 months so why not.
I'm going to due more weight reductions.
A couple of days ago I stripped out everything in the car except dash and center console and driver seat.
Trunk all stripped ,all the system is out.
And the car is alot faster .
I do have lots of weight saving already.
I also want to lose the sun roof and find some one that can do a big piece of cf for the roofs center section.
I am also on the edge of stripping out all the sound deadener.
I just don't waste the 600 I spent and the 3 days to install it.

Sorry how you feel about your luxury row boat.
Only luxury option left for me is my heated mirrors but, winters coming so those are staying.

most cars are really fast when u remove half the weight of the car. but then it's not really the same car then, is it?

i guess no one mentioned is wrong wheel drive.

i love the cl more than anyone, but i am still too much of a realist to think it's EVER going to be a good track car or race car. if it makes you happy then go for it.

yes your going to have a super fast car.. but now it's a tin can

I'm smiling everytime I'm laying on the pedal after removing what I did.
Can't wait to remove more.
Just because I strip the car does not mean I can't put it back if I want.
I do all my work myself and the car is my toy.
So it's time to go faster again.

You do realize there are fwd race cars don't you? They compete in series with rwd and awd cars. Fwd cars do very well at auto-x and can compete. Last auto-x I was at a fwd mini was 2nd fastest overall. Look at the fwing 2.0 fwd time attack car that is faster than most of the rwd and awd cars. Check out the sub 7 sec fwd drag car. Fwd just means you have to be more creative. It's like me saying well I am white so I better not even try playing basketball.

All ac stuff removed under the hood, and also took off the steel front bumper today.
Bumper will go back on after 3/4 of the bumper gets cut.

For anyone interested in deleting the ac you will need a 39 1/2" belt.
I put a 39 on mine because I was tired of going back and forth to the store. I went 3 times....

All I can say is whoa. The car is much quicker and it spins tires so easy now.
I think I'm going to be the next to put the car on a diet.
Can't wait to line up with someone that think's I have a all exhaust base cl.

Damn bro, the car sounds like it has some power now! I know how much power those 3.7's have. Every time I drive my wifes MDX I get jeolousy and think of ways to swap motors without her knowing, lol. I have seriously considered doing the same and that's to a TL. Do it and be happier. I'd love to see a cluster cam shot of that car handling it's business!

Alot of people say the ac spins freely so you wont gain any power with it off.
I can hear a difference in the rev's so I'm feeling like it free'd up something. Maybe I can find someone to follow me this week to the test n tune day so I could get a vid.
I plan on removing some more before this weekend too.

That would be nice! I'll make you a deal: I'll upload one of my nitrous vids for one of yours. Somebody asked me a few months ago to make one and I did but never posted it. I also have one of the dyno run.
