Question for those with thermoblock.

Hey guys, can someone that has the thermoblock spacers installed post a picture of the engine cover hole that you had to cut to make fit back on the engine. Just want to see to what extent you have to cut up the cover.

just put on the thermoblock upper intake spacer and skip the TB spacer and you wont have to cut anything...if yuo want to use both it's the rectangula cut out near the throttle body as the throttle body is now moved farther away from the cover and the MAP sensor(what the cut out is for) is attached to the TB

no the tb really only gets hot from touching the hott upper intake which will now be cooler and from coolant flowing thtough the tb which you should bypass

SO what do you say about this then? (from the outlaw engineering website)

But I plan to bypass the coolant passage in my throttlebody?

Outlaw Engineering does not feel that bypassing the throttlebody coolant passage is a very elegant solution to throttlebody heat for many users. This often leads to rough idle, increased fuel consumption and possibly higher emissions. Many TB's contain thermosensors that would never reach operating temperature. It is similar to running an old carbureted vehicle with the choke all the time. Also, there truly is the possibility of ice formation in the TB during the colder months without this system. With the addition of an insulator, the vehicle can operate as it was meant to and the intake will remain cooler.
