Question regarding different Mechanics/shops
I'm going to be installing springs & shocks.. I've been refered to two places, one an Acura dealership and the second a good suspension guy/shop...
I'd like to go to the suspension guy assuming he knows more about proper adjustments etc... but i know installing the springs requires removing the back seats. I don't want him to mess the seats up..
So on one hand the Acura guy presumably knows the 'inner workings' of the car.. but the other guy is more specialized in suspensions.
I guess my question is ... how do mechanics who've never worked on a certain car know how to deal with it's intricacies?

Springs/shocks is a very simple deal for any mechanic. You don't need a "suspension expert" to have a proper job done.
If your local Acura mechanics can't handle something that simple, I'd never bring the car back there again.

John: if you're referring to Earl at Acura Woodbine, he certainly knows what he's doing as he installed my konis and springs perfectly...he'll be taking that stuff out and installing my Zeal coil overs next week...
