Question post install..........

Is this possible after installing an amp and subs?

This is the deal, I had two 10 JL Audio instal with a Hifonics Centurion amp this morning. Aafter getting the car for some reason the actual stock stereo seem to sound lower than what it used to sound when no amp or subs, this seen when i have about 3 to 5 volume indicators on the screen.

Second, For some reason I was going to adjust the side mirrors and now I can't, they seem to move, but opposite the motion than what i want it to move. Ex. want it to move inward towards me and it moves down and away. this happens on both mirrors.

Is there the possibility that they screw up any cables when running the power cables for the hook up or is it an Acura warranty issue?

Please help!!

I want to be sure that i am not figthing a losing battle at the stereo shop.

thanks for the input guys.

With the first question, with that setup, I think the current is drawn from a set of speakers to the aftermarket amp. So you would lose a little bit but I dont think it should be noticable. I'm not 100% sure about this so correct me if I'm wrong.

Question 2, I dont think it's possible. Even if you intent to do it that way, you'll have to switch the wires at the switch or the motor. You cannot plug the harness at the switch in backward and I dont think the installers had so much free time to play you. Maybe something in your mind is reversed

It's true you will loose a little signal from the stock system due to the power draw
off the speaker leads into the high/ low converter they installed to adapt RCA's cables to the new amp.

Who did the install on your system?

Make um fix the thing man!!
you should have some kind of warranty on the install. Oh BTW, Don't try and fix it
yourself because then they can claim you tampered with it and might dispute weather or not they created the problem. Sounds very electrial so I would not wait to have it looked at.
Good luck

I had an aftermarket amp and subs installed. I had no loss of sound from the stock system. Maybe the lows are just drowning out the stock speakers making you think that it is not as loud. As for the mirrors maybe they hooked up the wire in reverse if they had to detach when wiring your amp.

How do the 2 10's sound?? Are they W3 or W0 and does it rattle much?

As for the side views, i dont see how a sub amp hookup would mess with the wires that control them...but I could be wrong.

The set up is fine and the two 10 JL Audiio kick some buttocks and no rattle. I do get rattles if I go up to high on the voulme but at normal listing volume you do notice the big diffrence between the BOSe System w/out subs and with subs. It is nice and very tight bass and not boome.

About the mirrors I am guessing that the pulled some harness when running the dam power lines toward the back to connect the amp, but I am just speculating. But the morning of the install the side mirrors were working well because when I put the car in reverse the passenger mirror did move correctly and after the install everything went crazy.
