I'm thinking of NOS'ing my 540i. I know that the tranny will handle the power since it can handle the DINAN supercharger w/ 420hp and like 400lb-ft torque. I wanted to do a 50-75 shot. What do I need to be aware of that can possibly cause problems?

If the engine can handle that supercharger, it should essentially be able to handle the 50-75 shot correct?

I don't know of any 540i owners who've done this and I've already tried bimmer.org and was just wondering if you guys would be able to give me some 'general' insight on this.

I would only "NOS" a car that I would use at the drags! Otherwise supercharge or preferable turbocharge!!!

 

I know tons of kids with bimmers & nos.

Your 540 can easily handle it... just get a 75 shot and be on your way.
