It's funny you mentioned this, because I just noticed in the past couple of weeks the same thing. It's usually happens just after I shift into second gear, and I'm keeping steady pressure on the gas pedal. It feels like the engine is hesitating, but it doesn't sound like it is. It's almost like all of a sudden the engine became totally unrefined, with horrbile torque and hp curves.

I think you're feeling the dual mass flywheel.

The odd thing is that I've had the car for a year now, and it really only just recently started doing it.

It does is when the AC isnt on and right when the engine heats to its running temp so i think it may be the fan kicking on which causes a jolt anyone else have any ideas?

I know that on the CL & TL's when the AC kicks on or fan kicks on there's a power draw. I noticed if your in a higher gear with a lower speed. (like 25mph in 4th)The cars sort of stumbles like a sudden power drain then kicks back in. I have concluded it's a combo of the low rpm with the power draw that creates this feeling. My 02 auto did it, my 6 speed does it, & several TL loaners I had did it.

Dual mass flywheel is just Acura's version of a flywheel that has more weight to it. As a result when you shift the RPM's stay up a bit longer. It's to increase MPG & shift feeling.

My 03 does the same thing. When I am in 4th, running about 30-35 mph, and the temp comes up the car will lurch for a split second. It feels like someone cut out the fuel. I believe that this issue has been discussed before, and we came to the conclusion that the "lurch" is felt because the car changes from warm-up mode to normal-operating mode, or something along those lines. I believe that it is in the change-over between these differing fuel mapping modes where the "lurch" is felt.
Welcome SILVER6NAVI and enjoy that car.

This only happens to me when I'm rolling with the revs too low - typically below 2k. As others have mention, it's probably the dual-mass clutch/flywheel.
