Question about mods...

I've seen the mods available for a 2001 CL-S, but I was wondering exactly how much gain will I get from each one. That is to say, which gives the best bang for my buck? Cold Air (Which one)? Headers (Which one)? Exhaust (Which one)? And exactly how do performance pulleys work? I ask all these stupid questions because I have always been a truck guy. This is the first 2 wheel drive vehicle I've ever owned. All I know is that if I put Flow's and low gears on something with a V-8, ill be in business. Any help is appreciated in advance!

the best bang for the buck for our cars are headers. there are comptechs which are the most expenise and are by far the best quality, then theres alfawerks, stone, or obx. all these headers have the same gains. over 20whp or mabey even more

the next mod would be a cold air intake. the majority here put AEM or comptech Icebox, both have very similar gains. while comptech gives a tad more power its more twords the stock sound where as aem is know to be louder. its all a matter of preferences. 10 -12 whp

as of exhaust it only gives about 5hp (correct me if im wrong) and there are numerouse manufactures comptech, greddy, neuspeed, HKS

If you need more info there are numerous posts on this, just use the search button

yeah headers will give u the most gain keeping your car naturally aspirated.

If u want a small gain get the Intake, its an easy install and if u get the AEM it sounds great in vtec and isnt loud when you drive normally.

I have the AEM and i wouldn't give up the sound it makes in vtec for the icebox, unless there was a supercharger attached to the icebox

well, for the best bang for your buck, cai is the best considering it's like 200 for 10-15 whp, while the headers are like 1000 for comp or 500 for alphawerks for only 25-30 whp. but that's for your best bang for your buck. if you want most hp for just one product, it'd be sc, then headers.
