question about front dash rattle

I have a front dash rattle above the speedometer. i tightened the screws above the console so I know its not that. I searched and I think I may have found the solution. I read in one thread that I can't seem to find anymore, that it could be the front defroster vent I can't seem to take it out so I can apply some sort of cushion to it. Does anyone have any tips I can use to pop it out?

Pop out the front dash?

1. Take out the top two screws,
2. Take off any plastic piece surrounding the dash that looks like it could be in the way. No worries, most of the plastic pieces off little clip thingies so they should come off easily.
3. When the pieces are removed, gently pop off the cluster dash. Be careful because there are a lot of things connected behind it. Start with the plug-in to your farthest left and work your way to the right.
4. Putting back on is a sinch. Just work everything i said in reverse order and your "Good to go"
