Question about Cyclinder misfire

Hey i have a 2001 CLP 95000 mile on it and two day ago my check engine light came on so i went to my dad friend shop to scan it and the code show all 6 of my cyclinder are misfiring. Anyone know what can cause that ??? and the weird thing is right after we erase the code when i start it up the engine start to shake high low high low but with the engine light on it smooth.After the shop erase the code i stop somewhere park my car for like 15 min. damn thing had a hard time starting i had to gas it to keep it on. I need some info on this did this happen to anyone and how they fix it . ThanX

The first thing to do would be to change the plugs. At the same time I would check the fuel pressure.

It could also be a bad tank of fuel.

Actually, the first thing would be the fuel. YOu could siphon some out and then refill. That is the easiest and least costly to do.

Damn this suck My dad honda accord is having the same Problem he got a 99 or 2000 accord. My brother in law work for the dealer and he cant figure what the hell is going on he said he never seen this b4 all 6 cyclinder misfiring

It has happened on the J-Series engine before. With the previously mentioned checks, you should be able to isolate the problem.

probably sensor related. could be the crank position sensor. or it could be some other engine sensor causing the computer to get out of sync w/ the crank. could also be the injector timing. but i believe this is based on the crank position sensor. have it checked 1st.
