Question About THE CL's Sweet Spot..

I have a 01' CL-S. I was wondering what is the best spot for the CL to be in for maximum power? (Both gear and rpm's) Thanks for the help fellas.

I like dropping to 2nd in SS on a regular 40mph road and hauling ass to redline with my CAI roaring!

i like dropping to third from 4 at around 70 mph, very high torque and quick acceleration at that point

Not to hijack the tread or anything.
But...how fast are you guys going before you shift to third from second. Im usually at about 70mph, near redline before I shift to third. From third to fourth I'm at 112mph before I shift to 4th.
Is this normal?

Holy transmission overload batman!!!

i hope you're joking! In my 6spd, going about 85 if i remember right is almost at redline in 3rd gear. how can you possibly downshift to 2nd going 80!!! damn you got big balls doing that!

I abandoned D5 unless I'm going well over 70 mph. I drive most of the time in D4 or D3 since about a year ago. I gate shift MOST of the time.

Guys, I'm pretty sure it was a sarcastic comment.

I like dropping it into 4th at 75-80.
