Good luck... but don't even attempt this route - all the tires are too tall (diameter) and will hurt your E.T. unless you are putting 500whp - I went down this road with no success.

i guess i just cant understand how launching a 6mt with 2 wheel drive could be harder than one wheel drive auto that'll do this...

and take this with all humility i dont have the 6mt havent driven it but once i just struggle with it being slower out of the hole...

1.9 is very possible in an auto, type R has gone 2.0 w/ half a tank of gas and the stock wheels!!!

typeR may benefit from dr's or slicks with that extra torque he has. but on my car i don't think they would help at all (yet). i need that little bit of wheelspin to get the rpm's up.

cuz the sooner you get into vtec...

The TC takes up quite a bit of the slop and allows for easier throttle manipulation to control wheel spin. With the manual you have to balance the clutch and throttle at all times while adjusting both for the increased speed. This difficulty is further increased by the shorter gearing of the manual.

Not only do you have two pedals to adjust constantly through the beginning of 1st, you have a greater amount of torque to the pavement.

IMO, there would be no way to pull down a 1.9 short time without slicks and a proper set up.
