Who's running lip in Miami? What are they driving? I think it's low 14s with I/H/E

They are driving a 03 G35 sedan. Maybe you know what would it run w/ I/H/E/SC ? Becauce they said they read in some magazine that the Comptech Acura runs 14's . I told them thats impossible . But I don't know. Thanks for the reply.

There are guys here on the board, with time slips, that are running 14.1 - 14.2 with the AUTO CL-S with intake, headers, exhaust and pullies.
Yes the article of the SC CL-S said that they ran a 14.2. That just means ONE THING, the guy driving, could NOT DRIVE A LICK!!!! Also you have to remember that that car was built for show, NOT for go!!!
Most of the 1/4 time slips I have seen for the 6 speed have been in the mid to high 13s.
I am guessing that the SC 6 spd, with a GREAT driver, will be in the really hi 12s or very low 13s. With the SC, traction is a HUGE problem.
Red Rider has the SC on his auto, and let me tell you, NO WAY HE IS RUNNING 14.2 1/4s!!!!! He will be in the13's EASY!!!!!!
Keep you eye on this board, you will see time slips for the SC CL-Ss soon, and they will be in the 13s!!!!

The guy in the G35(*sedan) wants to race - I told him he is going to lose for sure. I already raced a G35* and whooped him up - the sad part was I had 3 other people in the car - I had the G35 by 2 cars at least.

that 60' sucks ass.
it's funny that an auto w/ an open diff. can launch so much better than a 6mt w/ hlsd.
typeR has run 2.0, i've run 2.1's. (on street tires)
you would be running as quick as him if you could hook up.

YEA ON N2O .
Ok CL-S stock should do atleast a 14.9 . Add headers and take away .2 , 14.7 . Add a better exhaust and I would say 14.65 .
And those are my estimates here in humid S. Fla .

i think it is the car, nobody has gotten really stellar 60' on street tires. are you that much better of a driver? have you even driven a 6mt cl-s?

i can run a 1/4 in 13..... minutes
I'd say a 6 speed with an Intake/Exhaust and headers will run a 14 flat.
An automatic with the same bolt on goodies would run 14.2-14.3(guessing).
now if you want to get into the upper 13's you got a few of options
#1. if you got a automatic trade it for a 6 speed and get a PERFECT R/T off the tree.
#2. Comptech S/C
#3. get out the N20

If I were you, I'd be more worried about your 13.79x time-slip
You seem very bent on that fact... honestly its very impressive... but 6spds without a 3.5L conversion should be able to match that time with bolt-ons.

my best in my auto is 14.2 w/ just intake and headers
i have gone 2.2 on the 60' like 5 times, thats with stock springs and tires, so w/ some lighter toyos and stiffer springs a 2.0 or 2.1 is very possible

I don't want to start a new thread - So maybe someone can answer me - Can someone please give me any information the Apexi V-AFC. Here in Miami, I went to SFPerfomance and they told me I can't control my v-tec w/o messing up the engine somehow, but he said I can control the fuel and then dyno tune the car ? So please, can anyone give me some more info. ?
Thanks
Thanks

Talk to Frank he is the Gu-ru for the SE for Acuras/Hondas. I talked to him before about a VAFC and he told me that he dyno tunes at least 3 a week. He even told me that, I could go ahead and install it myself and he would give me all the parameters for Fla. weather conditions, so that I can drive it down there to have it dyno tuned.
Don't worry they can have ur VAFC do what Apexi intentional made the thing to do .

You are probably correct... street-tires vs. street-tires, I'd lose everytime I spin the end of 1st everytime and most of 2nd during hard shifts everytime... sucks for me huh!?!
It basically boils down to the dyno and the E.T. - get it any which way you can while being NA
There is NO WAY to run anything better than a 13.3 E.T without 285whp or some kind of massive weight-reduction - that's the bottom-line. It's driver and traction beyond that.
I don't really want to put $20G and made a 10s NA Acura CL-S cuz it can be done... trust me! I'd rather fund my wife's MBA.
I think a 12s NA CL-S with < $2500 in cash TOTAL for BOLT-ONS
is something folks can relate to.

type r i'm with allmotor, no way are you gettin a 1.9 60ft on just toyo's. I"m lookin into slicks thatll fit my 16's right now in order to be able to just launch at like 4-5k and take off...but if you pull it off man congratulations..good luck

Actually I think TypeR CAN pull a 1.9 60-foot on some sticky tires and proper driving - us 6-speeders absolutely cannot, hence we automatically give a 1/10-2/10th advantage to the auto tranny cars.
Slick vs. Slick, it might be more even... although I wouldn't launch a CL auto-tranny on slicks
Please remember the point here is not to dog on anyone... just saying what is a reasonable expectation and what isn;t.
