quality customer service

An experience proving customer service is as important as quality product--
I just bought my 2.2 and plan on tweaking it (like everyone here). I thought the wings west front lip would look cool, so I went to Xtreme performance, a shop in my town, and ordered it (said it would take 10 days to come in). 2 days later I was checking out some pics of different cars with the lip and decided it looked more gawdy than anything, so I went back to cancel. Found out they cant refund special orders (interesting, because EVERYTHING is a special order for them), but if he could stop the order, there would be no problem. Got put off for 4 more days, the final result being that the part is coming and Im stuck with it.
Beyond my own stupidity for ordering it from them in the first place, I guess the moral is: check return poilicies before buying....if you shop at your local i-think-ill-open-a-'performance'-shop-in-my-garage performance shop, dont expect service after the sale.

note to self--check local colleges for impulse buyers anonymous.....
