Does anyone know what this does? I have to get it replaced and i have been driving around a couple weeks with it not being changed. Last time i went to the dealer they told me the air filter was installed wrong apprantely that wasnt the case and its the "Purge Control Solenoid" needs replacing can i get some feedback on what this does and if it may have any other effects since it was left like this for a couple weeks

not sure what it does, but if u hear a clicking in the interior, but coming from the engine bay, it is normal. usually on a cold start or when the car is warmed up but its cold out, it will start to tick. i went to the dealer and he said its normal and said the tl's do it too.
